“Prayer is not about changing God,
but changes him who prays.”
1813 - 1853
On August 1, 2017, we embarked on a spiritual journey of 100 days. In the beginning it seemed as though it was going to be forever. As the days passed, I began to realize how much I was enjoying the journey. It began to feel really good that I was holding to my daily commitment to myself. I realized that God didn’t need my daily prayer – I did.
In looking back over the 100 days, I realize that I am more patient. I am more loving and compassionate toward those with different ideas. My faith has increased. I am more blessed at all levels of my life.
I am so glad that we said yes to this journey. I believe we will look back over the years and realize the powerful impact this process had on all our lives as well as the life of Unity of Harrisburg. I plan to continue this noon practice with other spiritual processes. The technology of an alarm at noon that reminds me to somehow connect with the Presence will be a lifelong personal practice.
